Brona performs in support of Robyn Hitchcock ahead of her UK mainland tour

As part of her UK tour promoting We Are the Wildlife Brona will perform a special show at the Band Room in North Yorkshire accompanied by Myles Cochran on slide guitar. Support will be provided by Nessy Williamson.

Decorated with a series of four star reviews folk chanteuse and harpist Brona McVittie is quietly steering traditional folk into the 21st century with her recently launched debut solo album We Are the Wildlife — a deep reflection on the interconnectedness of things natural and manmade, an album of duality and dichotomy shaped as much by natural sonic patterning as by human patterns of behaviour — inspired by rural and urban scapes alike.

Aside from her fledgling solo career, Brona has built up widespread international acclaim for her work with Irish all-female folk legends The London Lasses, a capella ensemble Rún and post-folk trio littlebow.

Brona introduces her brand new quartet, featuring Brazilian jazz drummer Marius Rodrigues, Myles Cochran on slide-guitar, and Anne Garner on flute and backing vocals with a special guest appearance from Hutch Demouilpied on trumpet

Brona performs (vocals, harp, electronics) with her trio featuring Anne Garner (flute, backing vocals) and Myles Cochran (slide-guitar) in support of Armenian-born pianist Tigran, whose virtuosity on the keyboard is enhanced by the use of effects along with his unique vocalizing which ranges from tabla talking to chants.    

Brona discusses how her biological studies have influenced her song-writing before a performance with her trio. She performs live using vocals, harp and electronics accompanied by Anne Garner (flute, backing vocals) and Myles Cochran (steel-guitar)
